the dressing:
1/4	lb	bacon	dice and render well; drain, reserve bacon; discard residual fat and save pan for next step
1/2 -	c	sugar in 1 cup measure cider vinegar to fill cup	mix and heat gently 'til sugar dissolves
the slaw:
1	hd	cabbage, medium	grate or slice very fine
1	t	[celery seed]	add
mix dressing with slaw sprinkle over the bacon bits
