2	ea	egg whites	beat to mild froth
1/4 1 1	c c t	white wine sugar salt (if desired)	add and beat some more
1	lb	nuts	add and mix well
spread on baking sheet, bake 1 hr at 250 F, stirring every so often spread out to cool, store in airtight container
note:
epicurious calls these glazed nuts -- i don't think so.
