1 1/2 1 1/2	lb lb	beef shin beef marrow bones	put on in kettle of cold water under heat
simmer for a couple of hours remove meat from pot; skim pot to remove fat take meat off bones, defat, cut up; reserve into serving bowl
2 2 1 2 2 1 1	can can lb ea c ea hd	diced tomatoes niblet corn string beans, cut onions, sliced carrots, diced yellow turnip, diced cabbage, shredded	add to broth and simmer an hour
1/2	c	barley	add, simmer another 45 min
serve
2	lrg	onions, sliced	add to the reservered meat
2 1	c c	vinegar sugar	bring to a simmer and pour over the meat and onions
