remove large stems, crush one layer
at a time, simmer for 10 min, stirring
occasionally; place in jelly bag and
drain, adding water if necessary to get

mix and bring to full boil

sugar (3 lb)

add at once, bring back to full boil
and boil for 1 min
  • pour into jelly jars, leaving 1/2 in space on top,
  • cover with lids, screw on bands, shake, release and retighten
  • yield 9 c jelly
