(don't let it stick)
  • let cool and store in suitable containers in icebox
  • to use, place tablespoonfuls in hot greased skillet, flatten with fork and fry 'til brown; flip and do likewise, serve with chili sauce; may accompany eggs and bacon for breakfast, or go it alone

NOTE:
  • the original version, as made by fafa and my mother used large hunks of pork and of beef boiled up, which was then separated from the bones and fat, put through a meat grinder, and put back into the broth. the oats and ground pepper were then added, though the quantities i never recorded
